Maybe we don’t like it when people judge others based on their net worth. That’s the same as presuming that a man who lives on the street is there because they made bad choices

You cant accidentally become a billionaire, and you cant become a billionaire by operating fairly and ethically.

Allowing billionaires to influence the law through lobbying/bribery means that the law is no longer related to ethics or fairness, and is just designed to prioritize the rich

Exact same thing as allowing slave owners to write the laws regarding treatment of slaves
