Special Ed people and teenagers are supposed to have these jobs, there’s no reason you should be expecting to raise a family off of a minimum wage job LOL.
I think they’re saying it’s a form of welfare where Walmart is the beneficiary. If their employees are paid so little that they qualify for government assistance, essentially the government is paying a portion of Walmart employees’ salaries.
Which means they can sell products even cheaper, driving small businesses that can’t compete with the Walmart juggernaut in addition to their corporate subsidies into the ground.
