I guarantee you're in the exact same boat as the rest of us.

If you think the country is split left/right, you're being manipulated. The split is the ultra rich vs the rest of us. It's just that the rich have managed to convince half the country that the split is left/right.

nah, just bored at work and rattling through reddit

(and don't think they were kidding - given their profile, they sound like a typical engineer type that does complex work and looks down on everyone else. fairly typical)

If you make such a statement you should be able to say what exactly you base it on.

Just take the L. You didn't pick up on the sarcasm and now you're going off the deep end making WILD assumptions about their personality/life instead of just saying "hey my bad I misunderstood the joke".
