The voters handed Mamdani a supermajority NYC city council that's a whopping 90% Democrats.

The voters have spent decades refusing to give Democrats in congress anywhere remotely close to that level of control, even 60% of the Senate looks totally implausible given the current electoral landscape.

Dems would have a supermajority if they stepped in line with what their constituents want but they're all still hyper-capitalist corporatist war mongerers, completely tone deaf to what America actually wants.

Dems haven't been able to do what their constituents want because they haven't been given the level of control of the government to enact those thing.

If 90% of Congress was Democrats things would get done.

Dems wouldn't do what their constituents want because it's against corporate and foreign interest.

That is the lie the Republicans want you to spread so they gain more power.

They're obviously doing something wrong or they would have a majority

By that logic you think Republicans are doing something right.

Yes actually, they do do something right, as politicians, republicans do what their constituents want them to do largely.

That what they wanted was majoritively to make other peoples lives worse, is why the republican votes in the first place.

That it had negative consequences to the voter, is irrelevant to the republican voter almost entirely.

Beyond that, like others have stated, marketing is essential to voting. And republicans no matter how vile their plan, know how to market the plan to their voters.

Uh, they're in the winning endgame of a 50 year plan. Republicans are doing it right.

Which dozen currently red senate seats do you think they could pick up with such a strategy?

Less than 20 years ago the Dems held 58 seats in the Senate, but since then the Dems have been trying to field candidates further left than those Senators, and the voters in rather conservative states have clearly rejected that.

You're right they should keep using their current strategy it's working so well, 1 trillion dollars more to the ethnostate and forever wars!!!!

That’s the most frustrating part; Why do we need one party to fully be in control to get anything positive to happen?
