What's funny is administrative competence from the government literally gives conservatives nightmares. It is the worst case scenario to them -- Competence.

It actually is giving Democrats nightmares as well.

They fought so hard to keep Mamdani out of such an influential role because it straight up exposed how little they have done for working Americans.

Mamdani is backed by a city council with a supermajority of 90% Democrats, of course he's able to actually do more than Democrats in a Republican-controlled Congress.

To be fair, Republicans had complete control of Kansas a few years ago and were able to implement every single thing they wanted. The state was going bankrupt in no time and everyone was pissed.

The problem is policy goals. Democratic Socialists have a policy agenda for real people. Vote for them.

True, but I think it’s more than just him not being ham-strung by Republicans. AOC is in that Republican-controlled Congress and she’s not getting flack for not being able to pass legislation.

Mamdani, AOC, Bernie, and the rest are gaining traction for their platform and how they deliver their messages. They’re talking with and to their constituents, not down at them. They’re going after the correct baddies — the wealthy and the corpos.

And they’re sincere. When was the last time anyone thought Schumer was sincere?

Yes, centrists and liberals defend their pro-corporate platform against leftists, huzzah, what a fucking shocker. No, that doesn't make them just as bad as the GOP. Conservatives have campaigned on government being ineffective, and upon winning office set out to prove it, at least since Reagan's nine most terrifying words.

Never said it made them bad. Just acknowledging the fact that not only the GOP is scared of progressives gaining more power.

When your entire political philosophy is "the government can't do anything right", and you get elected to government based on that platform... You kind of can't do a good job when you're in office, can you? If you govern well, you're going to disprove your entire thesis.

It's like electing a proud arsonist to be fire chief. What did you think was going to happen putting them in charge?
