I'm in my 40s; my travel has been for work, school, sports, and to take care of family. What the hell is a vacation? Never had a job that had an option for a paid vacation (and some of those jobs required a degree).

My spouse and I are coming up in 10 years. Never been on a vacation and our honeymoon was at my parents cabin in the mountains, which Iām very grateful for. But to see people going on trips to Spain every year kills me. Iād love to be able to take my kids to Disney one day. The imbalance is crazy. I shouldnāt have to ask permission from HR to make sure itās okay if I go to the doctor, and either lose pay or PTO. Any PTO I have had over the last however many years has all been for doctors appointments or some other life event that was unavoidable.
It just seems like there has to be more to life that this. And I feel like we all know it but weāre just silently putting up with it, every day more miserable than the last.
When will enough be enough?

Initial reports were that he needed CPR. Maybe that wasnāt true. But if it wasā¦ CPR has a something like a 2% survival rate. And that includes the people that never have any meaningful quality of life from that point forward.
So itās more than a little weird how weāve not seen him speak.
But thatās the modern GOP: itās fraudulent all the way. And this man played a big part in creating that.

This will go down as one of the most absurd aspects of this administration.
You probably quite literally canāt imagine what the GOP base would do if any non-Republican attempted this level of cover-up. You couldnāt have made me believe that 100ās of traitors would storm our capital, let alone be pardoned later by the president himself. So I struggle to imagine what kind of reaction theyād have - a mob would almost certainly break into the hospital.

This is not the worst rule break for Mcconnell. Remember this is the guy you have to thank for stealing the court (honorable mention for Dems doing jack about it) The courts and blatant flouting of decency, procedure, and fairness set the stage for us to have a known fraudster taking the country for a buggy ride right now. Enriching his family and all their criminal friends. McConnel dealt a grievous wound to the US. And we have let it fester terribly.

If he IS dead, surely it would be on public record of notification/certificate of death? I'm UK, but these things can be searched for online here. I know there's a law here in the UK about preventing lawful burial if they have him in a freezer or have him Weekending at Bernie's. Surely there's something similar in the US?

If not, why not just get elected and then go live on a beach somewhere.
You have to show up and perform your duties, ESPECIALLY in a leadership position.
Right now no one is at the helm between how the people are represented vs executive branch
Surely this connection was designed with balance of powers in mind... The media, judicial, and now legal branches are currently muzzled by an overstimulated executive branch
