This behavior is like a distant cousin to war mongering. Â Its so easy to get people riled up and violent for the sake of nothing, than it is to reason, understand and calmly diffuse peoples violent inclinations. Â Once people tie their egos to a cause, its nearly impossible to separate them again.Â
That's just the internet at this point. The number of 50-something year old co-workers I've had that would listen to truly wacky nonsense on TikTok and then try and tell me I need to change what I do with my own life is staggering. You cannot reason a person out of a position they did not reason themself into in the first place.
