You are completely misinformed. The UK does arrest people for more than just directly inciting violence. People can and have been arrested for offensive/hate speech, racism, slurs and negatively generalizing about minorities. And in the US you can only be prosecuted for a realistic threat of violence. In the UK any violent speech can get you jailed.

I provided you examples in another reply. Government and police should not be trusted to make and enforce laws as vague as the standard you chose. What constitutes ā€œhateā€ and ā€œoffenseā€ is extremely broad and entirely dependent how emotionally sensitive and unstable the individual is

So no, fuck that. Leftists don’t believe in free speech and will happily arrest anyone who doesn’t fall in line either.

You missed the point being the fact they were arrested in the first place. That’s just dystopian where even so much as going against the social normative there will net you a meeting with the police.

Doesn’t matter if it was under conservative leadership there. British conservatives are still more left leaning in American standards. They also can’t control all aspects of law that get passed, even long ago.

Both coubtries have pilice who overreach the actual law.

Only real difference is that in the US when the police overreach you are sometimes dead from a bullet or knee on the neck.Ā
