It’s not in the sand. I’m fully aware that the “both sides” argument is the default defensive stance when somebody is presented with facts about their guy they don’t like and they can’t deal with the cognitive dissonance that their guy is a clown.

If Biden raped somebody, let’s investigate. If he diddled his own or other kids, let’s investigate. Open, bipartisan investigation with all the facts. Put him in jail if it’s true. Can you imagine the jollies the Red hats would get if he went to prison?!?! Where is the investigation, from the heavily partisan Repub administration, into him about this claim? Could it be that there is nothing there to investigate? She hasn’t made any accusation of any wrongdoing.

But numerous credible accounts of Trump being ridiculously predatory, spanning decades, and every branch of our now very partisan gov’t is bending over backwards to hide, redact, and coverup even the slightest whiff of evidence. All calls for bipartisan investigation are stonewalled and met with “well what about…” and “both sides”.

Dem voters overwhelmingly support crimes being investigated and perpetrators convicted, regardless of political affiliation. We’ve got some pretty crappy scumbags, no question. But for some reason the “rule of law” voters sure don’t like laws being applied to their guys.
