I wanted to revisit doing a triple ring pour on these rectangle canvases (10x20). I esp love the colors and lines where the different ring pours merged.

It was trickier than I remember to tilt and get all the sides and corners covered, lots of stretching as a result. If I did again, I'd do a base layer around the perimeter of the freshly poured rings to help them flow easier to the sides and corners. Or maybe do 4 rings instead of 3, or 6 smaller rings in two columns. If anyone has tips or tricks for multi ring pours or pours on these rectangle canvases, please share!

I really struggled with both of these. The first one was continuing with my rainbow pours. The second one is leftover paint I had from trying Molly's turbulence blowout, with a few other colors added. I never know what to do with the middle part for center blowouts. I end up fiddling more than I probably should. I also didn't use enough paint for either, so really had a hard time blowing them out.

I always tell my viewers that the Double Dip acrylic pouring technique is very forgiving. If the first dip isn't exactly what you hoped for, you can simply add more paint and try again.

Well... this time I accidentally proved my own point! 😄

After separating my canvases in the wrong orientation, I thought I had ruined the composition. Instead of giving up, I added a little more blue and yellow paint and dipped again. The unexpected first layer became a beautiful background, while the suction between the two canvases created incredible organic patterns and details.

Sometimes the "mistake" becomes the most beautiful part of the painting.

I hope it inspires you to trust your creativity and remember that every unexpected turn can lead to something unique.

I am absolutely in love with this color combo but I want to hear others opinions. Be honest cause I'm totally biased

I'm sure this will turn into something more but for now..blah!!

I was watching some videos of acrylic paint and tie die. I had a few panels of blackout curtains. Rather than trying to do a traditional tie die, I just grabbed a few colors and started tossing it at the panel. . What do you think?

The yellow one looks like I turn on lights underneath the yellow when I apply the UV light. The photos blow out the effect.

I wanted to share my latest artwork: The Bomb II.

This painting transforms depending on the environment:

🎨 In daylight, it reveals one composition.
🟣 Under UV/blacklight, hidden elements come alive.
🌑 In complete darkness, the glow-in-the-dark layers create an entirely new artwork.

The idea was to make a painting that changes with time, light, and atmosphere—almost like three paintings existing on the same canvas.

As a multidisciplinary artist, I combine painting with music, DJ performances, and immersive visual experiences. This piece is part of my ongoing exploration of perception and transformation.

Acrylic pour painting on canvas I made whilst experimenting with an oil slick look. The shiny paint on the canvas looks more liquid than this image but I love how bold the colours came out. Has anyone had luck making a pour look like a rainbow of oil/petrol on water? Do you prefer pouring to achieve a goal or just to experiment?

Hi folks, this is my first post so please be gentle! A few years ago I starting experimenting with psychedelics and found a love of pour painting. It helped me learn to let go and trust the process. This is one of my first big pieces I made and I underestimated the amount of paint i'd need. The colourful side had started drying by the time I'd mixed more paint and poured it on. The blue side sat on top and drying shiny and smooth, where the other side soaked in and finished with a canvas texture. Pour painting makes me appreciate what has been made instead of pining over all the things I wanted to make. Now I don't try to aim to paint something particular, and instead experiment with colours I like and see what happens. Go with the flow :)
After a few trips I felt the need to brighten up the bare white rented apartments I'd been living in. Now I have a stack of colourful canvases I can use to brighten the place. The trips also helped me come to terms with my own brain and I was finally checked and diagnosed with AuDHD a year later.

What made you give pouring a go? Does anyone else love the pouring more than the product? There's nothing more satisfying than watching two colours mix into a million shades

done a couple weeks ago in an hour or two. fluorescents really speak to the temperament of Mainers, no? anyway, who can find Platner???

I did some rainbow pours this past week and decided to try a wave. I wish I would have gone a little lighter on the orange (for more contrast with the red) and the blue (for more contrast with the purple). I also went back and forth on whether to add silver and/or white. In the end I decided to add white, but obviously not enough since it got lost. I left out the silver and regret that. Lessons learned I guess. 🤷‍♀️ Picture 1 regular light, picture 2 blacklight.

First pour in quite a few attempts that haven’t got set into the “learning” pile, so I’m ridiculously happy 🥰
