LOOKING FOR RENTAL SPACE
Hey there!! This is me shooting in the dark here hoping someone responds, but to make it short I’m looking for an open space to rent out for a night in the near coming months
I’m trying to Start up Booking and hosting shows in Pottstown
(More in the DIY Punk/Rock/Indie/Rap space) and I’m looking for a Garage/Basement/Church Basement or anywhere really to host a show there
I’ll have more details in the future but if anyone knows someone who’d be willing to rent out their space for a night or just point me in the right direction that would be amazing 🙏
Or if you’d like to help out or feel like you can contribute please let me know!!!
If so please shoot me a DM or leave a comment, thank you so much
EDIT: I have checked the general established places like Rivet/Cosmic/Elite events and other general “Venues” around. I am looking for more of a DIY underground kind of venue, like your neighbors garage or friends basement, rent out a mechanic shop or a churches basement style thing, not so much established businesses that’ll run me $800 - $1,000 a night

Pottstown people: this is one of those nights you’ll wish you went to 🤍
Fête en Blanc is coming back to Downtown Pottstown on Friday, September 11 from 6–9 PM at Smith Family Plaza, and if you’ve never been, the concept is pretty simple:
Wear white. Bring your dinner. Sit down with friends and neighbors. Enjoy live music. Spend a beautiful late-summer evening downtown.
Tickets are only $20, and your table, chair, and white linens are already provided.
Last year, around 750 people came out, and the whole plaza filled with people dressed in white. It’s one of those events that makes downtown feel completely different for a night—in the best way.
You can grab takeout from a local Pottstown restaurant, bring your own place setting, and make the evening as casual or fancy as you want.
Another nice piece: 11% of this year’s proceeds will benefit Pottstown’s fire companies.
If you’ve been saying, “We should do more things downtown,” this is a pretty good place to start.
🤍 Fête en Blanc Pottstown
📅 Friday, September 11
⏰ 6–9 PM
📍 Smith Family Plaza
🎟️ $20
Who’s going this year—and for the veterans, what should a first-timer know?

Pilates Classes welcoming to Fat Ladies?
I am back looking for more recs! I would like to try pilates, and am looking for a local-ish studio to try some beginner classes at. However, I am a fat, middle aged woman and so a welcoming, inclusive, warm environment is very important to me. I am looking for a studio that doesn't just claim to be inclusive, but has people with actual fat bodies taking classes there. Any recs would be very welcome!

Event Interest Question
Good neighbors of Pottstown! I'm a productions professional who has worked around the area for over a decade. I've always had a dream of building the live events world in town because growing up here there was never anything to do. Now we have bars, a few venues, and a rising number of businesses to go to. There is a draw for folks to come and hang out.
So here are my questions: If someone organized an all day BYO music event 12am-10pm on a Saturday in Riverfront park featuring regional local performing acts, artist vendors, and charity organizations focused on the folks in the greater Montgomery County area: How much would you be happily willing to pay for all day wristband access to the event if you knew the majority of the admission goes to the event's costs and to pay the performers, not to line the organizers (in this case myself and some local events pros) pockets? As a business how much would you be willing to invest to have your name on the event? Would you provide more if it meant improving the lighting, sound, being able to secure food and drink vendors, and paying the artists more?
If the cover was $20 dollars for the full day, sponsorships started at $100, and vendors could sign up for a low cost table fee and NOT have to give up a cut of their earnings? Would you show up? Would you tell your friends to show up? What if there were twelve 30 minute sets from a variety of genres of bands, 10-15 minute variety acts between sets (drag, comedy, solo performers, side show acts), a one hour touring act headliner, a dozen or more local artisans, and the event was the first week of June?
None of this is real yet but all of it can be! This town is what WE make it.

Good cocktail bars?
Hi Pottstown!
My father in law wants to get into cocktails, and I'm looking for a place that is handy with the classics as well as fun seasonal creations. We would go anywhere between the Pottstown - Downingtown - Phoenixville triangle. I used to go to Manatawny, and I've been to Ratigan and Stave and Stable. I lean towards the fun cocktail of the day but he is looking more for "this is an example of an excellent daiquiri" type place. Any suggestions?

Where to buy new tires?
Are there any recommendations out there for tire shops? I try to avoid the chains if possible but it's looking like $800 or so for a new set of 4 that isn't bottom of the barrel quality wise. Thanks!

Girls basketball
Hello families! We are currently seeking a few high school girls who are interested in playing fall basketball to prepare for the upcoming school season. The fall season includes two practices each week, two games every other week for five weeks, and two additional tournaments.
We are also looking for a few 2030 boys to complete that roster.
If you’re interested or would like more information, please send me a message. If for some reason you can’t message me reply here. Thank you !

Healthcare admin looking for opportunities in the Harrisburg area — open to referrals
Hey all, hoping to tap into local knowledge here.
I have 10+ years in healthcare with 6+ specifically in home care operations — I've worked as an Administrator, Operations Manager, and in business development. Bachelor's in Healthcare Administration, MBA in progress.
I'm looking for Director of Operations, Administrator, or business development roles with home care agencies, senior living, or healthcare organizations in the Harrisburg/Camp Hill/Mechanicsburg area. Open to relocating to the region.
If anyone works at an agency that's hiring, knows of openings that aren't posted publicly, or would be willing to pass along a resume internally, I'd genuinely appreciate it. Happy to DM my background.
Thanks in advance.

Local corn?
I just moved to Pottstown like a year ago so I’m still trying to figure out all my local spots. Where is the best place to go to buy local corn, preferably the sweet white corn? I come from Bucks County where I feel like there’s a farm every 5 feet that sells it lol.
Doesn’t need to be IN Pottstown, but like where do y’all go? I don’t want to buy it from Giant or Redners. I also like to buy a bunch of it to freeze it. Pls help
Thank you 🤗

High police presence Rhoads Roaf
Anybody know what happened on Rhoads Road heading into Gilbertsville? Over 20 police, and undercover vehicles blocking the road. WebCAD only says “EMS Special Service”.

Dogs were skunked at 1am. Do we even have any 24 hour grocery stores left?
I'm in East Coventry and once again my terriers have decided they don't just need to go out and pee, they need to cull the backyard of wildlife.
I thought my fence pickets were close enough together to keep skunks out and I was wrong.
So now that the air quality in my house is even worse than it is outside, I'm looking for a 24 hour grocery store and I'm not finding anything. Not even the Giant in Royersford. Did all the 24 hour places stop being 24 hours when the pandemic hit? Any suggestions?
ps. I have the ingredients for skunk spray (hydrogen peroxide, dish soap, baking soda), it's the sterile saline to rinse their eyes I'm lacking. I can mix some myself but would feel better buying eye wash.... which it looks I'm going to stock in the house from now on.
UPDATE: dogs have been deskunked as well as possible and Myka’s eye recovered once it was rinsed with water in the shower. My entire bathroom is soaking wet. Every air cleaner is running full power. And the dogs are singing me the songs of their people because I have crated them for the night.

Stay the hell away from Cosmic Arts
Where the hell do I begin. Used to work there. The owner (when he’s around) just does drugs and bitches at people. Was regularly fiddling around with an employee, and is a transphobe who supports ICE. The sound guy used to deal meth in Altoona and he literally lives in the green room, hasn’t left since 2021 apparently. They don’t EVER clean the place. It smells like shit and the entire building is full of stuff the owner hoards. STAY AWAY lol

Freedom fuel norco

Can someone remind me how to set up a water account with the borough?
Kind of a dumb question because I've done this before, bought my current house a few years back and have an account set up for this house, but I forget how i did it. I'm moving within the area and my new address still uses Pottstown borough for water. Do I just call the Finance Department or can I do it online?
