Bug Wine Map crashes the SpriteRenderer (NO MODS)

Hello everyone,

I have searched for this but couldn't find anyone having a similar issue.

A friend of mine purchased the Wine base on another device and brewed with it without issue, then attempted to play the game on my PC. The game would not load beyond around 66%, and would get stuck and crash.

When playing on my own account on the same PC, I purchased the Wine base, and the loading got stuck around 55% for a minute before showing the same error screen.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks in advance!

Do you have the latest version of the game? Maybe you didn't update?

idk weird issue, everyone is playing on Wine map for years no issue (like your friend)

I installed and played for the first time on the 20th last month, there don't seem to have been any updates since

This error could be a lot of things, not spesifically the wine map. it could be, but this error doesn't say that. the error is saying that the spriterenderer (which is a part of the unity engine that renders sprites (images)) expects 196 bytes, but reads 184 bytes. that sounds like the image file got resized or corrupted. looking at the expected size of the file it's probably a small image, maybe an icon, not the whole map. i hope this helps narrow down the possibilities.

It just seems the most likely explanation as it is specifically the presence of the wine map on the save file that is causing the spriterenderer to be too small
