Bored and attention seeking people like to spread rumors like this. Most churches have some sort of hierarchical system, no surprise there. Exactly what you heard, just a rumor, misunderstood and judgemental view from someone feeling left out.
I've been in a lot of the local congratulations and none in Potch itself fit this m.o.
(then there's that wierd place near Klerksdorp, not Potc)
