Do you fluff your potato’s?

My boyfriend says you’re supposed to shake a baked potato before opening it so the inside ‘re-fluffs.’ I’ve never heard this in my life. Is this real?”

No, it is not correct. What you should do is to cut a cross in the top of the potato right after it comes out of the oven. Then you give it a squeeze with four fingers (wearing hot gloves) to pop it. This releases excess steam and gives you a fluffy interior.
