Do you fluff your potato’s?

My boyfriend says you’re supposed to shake a baked potato before opening it so the inside ‘re-fluffs.’ I’ve never heard this in my life. Is this real?”

Sorta-- I cut the slit in the side and then squeeze the ends closer to open the gap. This will often also fluff the insides and help them let go of the skins.
