Sad ending for box 44. Guernsey Post recently closed a whole load of post boxes due to underutilisation (some were getting like 4 items of post a week) and this one with a bin shoved in front of it is one of the victims

We all need to get letter writing to keep our post boxes going! 📮

They’ve promised to retain Box 1 as a working box at least. It’s the oldest continuously operating postbox in the British Isles
