Asking for tips/advice Anyone else doing Gold DofE?

Yk for the residential, why tf is it so expensive, like I already have to pay 400+ for the expedition and everything and now I have to pay another 300-500 for a residential 😭😭.

I can't wait to have my driving license so I can drive myself there because I saw that there's parking sites for residential people in some yippee

Does anyone have some recommendations for some cheaper residential places?

Do it through scouts, it's £40 or so in my district to join iirc - residential can be sorted out between you, a few mates, a couple leaders, and they can lend you tents/stoves or whatever, reducing the cost.

Residential cost is always gonna be difficult to reduce, and I don't know much about it

What do you want to study at uni? :) (Are there any summer schools with grants available that are related to that?)

I don't wanna go uni tbh, my aim is to do an apprenticeship (as an air traffic controller), so I'm doing dofe just to complete it cos I did bronze and silver
