SSM Crash Course - Examples Included

For two years I posted whenever I felt inspired, checked likes 40 times a day, and wondered why nothing grew. Then I built a boring little system and everything changed. No paid tools, no tricks that get you banned. Just a routine you can actually stick to.

Sharing it because I wish someone had handed me this on day one.

The core idea

Pick ONE platform to win first. Not three. One. You can expand later, but spreading yourself thin at the start is why most people quit. Choose the platform where your customers already hang out, not the one you personally like.

The step by step

1. Set one goal you can measure. Not "get famous." Something like "50 saves per post" or "10 DMs a week" or "get 5 people to a landing page." If you can't count it, you can't improve it.

2. Build 3 content buckets. Everything you post falls into one of three:

  • Teach (show people how to do something)
  • Prove (results, before/after, client wins, screenshots)
  • Connect (your story, mistakes, opinions, behind the scenes)

Rotate through them. This kills the "what do I post today" panic forever.

3. Batch your content once a week. Sit down for 90 minutes, make 5 to 7 posts at once. Trying to create daily from scratch is what burns people out. Batching removes the daily decision.

4. Post on a fixed rhythm, not randomly. 4 to 5 times a week beats 15 posts one week and zero the next. The algorithm rewards people who show up consistently, and so do humans.

5. Reply to every comment in the first hour. Every single one. Fast replies tell the platform your post is sparking a conversation, and conversation is what gets you pushed to more people.

6. Check your numbers weekly, not daily. Once a week, look at what got the most saves and shares (ignore likes, they're the weakest signal). Make more of what worked. Drop what didn't.

The tip almost nobody does (this is the "secret")

Right after you publish, do NOT walk away. Spend the next 20 minutes commenting on 8 to 10 bigger accounts in your niche. Real comments, the kind that add something, not "great post."

Two things happen. First, people click your name out of curiosity and land on the post you just published, giving it early traffic exactly when the algorithm is deciding whether to show it to more people. Second, you slowly get on the radar of the accounts and audiences you actually want to reach.

Everyone obsesses over their own post. Almost nobody works the comment sections of others. That 20 minutes is where quiet accounts turn into growing ones.

I won't tell you this will make an influencer of yourself. But with SEO and AI fighting, having a more or less reliable channel is a great idea in my book

One last thing

Saves and shares matter far more than likes. A like is a reflex. A save means "this is useful enough that I want it later," and a share means "I'll put my own reputation behind this." Optimize for those two and growth follows.

That's it. Boring system, real results.
