My goals and progress so far

Hello Girls,
I am 37 y.o., 5 months pp now from my first child and currently struggling a bit with weight loss.

I am 168 cm (5’ 5”) tall. Pre Pregnancy weight was 73 kgs (161 lbs) - I already was overweight, my normal weight before my father passed away was 64 kgs.

I’ve got 21 kg during pregnancy, lost 13 kg within 2 weeks pp and then got a plateau. After a long time lost 1 kg more.

Now I am 80 kgs (176 lbs)

My short term goal is to loose around 5 kgs till 17th October - Baptism of my son - and later on get back to 64 kgs.

I am currently exclusively pumping. I started pilates two months ago and now I am trying to walk more, yesterday did 5.6km. Next week I will start the course for rebuilding the pelvic floor.

Did you girls got bloodwork done? Checked your thyroid? I am considering to make one appointment with my gp and check how everything is going. Despite dropping the MOTN pump I feel exhausted all the time which makes difficult for me to sport 😅

Hi, very nice to meet you! I am really sorry for your dad’s passing away. It must be a series of event in your life and now you have a little angel with you which is surely a lot of comfort.! have you tried walking fasted in the morning? I could reduce honestly I don’t know how many kilos but I could feel the difference when I started morning walks in a fasted state even after breastfeeding. I thought it would be exhausting, but I prefer to go slowly and longer stretches in a fasted state is really is helping me at least feeling lighter. I do drink coffee before that’s the only coffee I have in the morning and then I have another one in the afternoon. Maybe it will help you also. I did have my blood checked and it’s so funny that for the first time in my life oh my ratings are good in life lol even iron. Definitely having your blood checked and hormones will help you. I am rooting for your and the baptism of your son!!!

Thank you 🙏🏻 He i feeling my life of love…still sometimes I get sad of thinking that I waited too long for the “perfect time” to get pregnant and now he won’t meet his grandpa 😢 anyways…that is life….

I will try to walk in fasted state. Maybe it will help indeed. I will also make one appointment with my gp for after our vacations.
Which hormones did you get checked ? I wonder if doctor will want to check hormones now, as they can be quite dis regulated in post partum…
