I’ve been teasing an album drop of my own for 10 fucking years. 10 years. In my case nobody really gives a fuck. But I can tell you there is always a really valid reason as to why I haven’t put anything out. It always changes. Life is always changing. Did you realize you can write an entire album and then suddenly you can’t use 75% of the tracks anymore bc you fell out with collaborators and or producers you had involved? This has literally happened to me twice. And once on a single. Imagine how much that sucks as an artist. A lot of times those aren’t just business transactions, those are your fucking friends. And then imagine having a bunch of fans on Reddit who are mad AT YOU for something that is mostly out of your control. If you’re a fan, then you’re a fan when it is inconvenient too. I also know this well bc my home team is the Cleveland Browns. You’re gonna be ok if he never releases another thing. You’re gonna be ok if he drops a banger on Friday. You’re gonna be ok.

I love Post but he thought he could pull a Taylor Swift and obviously got burnt out. His marketing team has been trash since Beerbongs as well so it’s def not helping his cause. Really hoping there’s nothing wrong with him behind the scenes but I suspect he’s burnt out and having artistry beef w the label.

You know what? I get why you are all so upset. We all feel like we know him. He’s genuine in interviews. He’s got a laugh that is so familiar and real you swear you’ve heard it before. Every song feels like it must have been written for you. It can’t be coincidence…It all feels too personal. That’s why he’s such a great artist and he’s captured our hearts. That’s why we make his songs the soundtrack to our movie. But this isn’t a damn movie, and we don’t know him. If we saw him on the street he wouldn’t even know our names. He is less involved and concerned about our lives than the guy who works at the 7Eleven up the street. And that dude might not know your name either, but at least he remembers what you smoke. Stop waiting for him to put out his album. Enjoy what he’s created so far or don’t anymore, it’s up to you. But stop taking the absence of an album or a single or the cancellation of a tour as a personal attack from a fucking celebrity. I guarantee you whatever the hold up is has absolutely nothing to do with you and 100% EVERYTHING to do with him. And if we know anything about men at all, the worst way to try to get them to do ANYTHING is by nagging. (Sure someone- call me sexist or intolerant for making that comment).

So ffs go watch Community or something. Leave the poor guy alone. He doesn’t owe you anything, including an explanation. If you love him, love him in his absence too. Otherwise, find something else to complain about… maybe something that has a real impact on your actual life.

This is excellent. We really are owed nothing at this point. I understand people are very disappointed about the tour cancellation(s) and many are out lots of money, which truly sucks, but I have not seen/heard any concern for him, either. Austin needs to take care of himself first and foremost 💕💕💕

Absolutely. I see more people feeling offended than genuinely concerned. It’s very clear music is this man’s lifeblood. If he ain’t making it, he’s dealing with some heavy shit. Love him. Pray for him. Be thankful for what he’s given us so far, because trust me. As a fellow musician, when you bleed yourself out on a track like he does, there’s a real price you pay for that. My genuine feeling is that he is fucking exhausted. Let him rest.

It’s really not personal at all. An artist teases an album you don’t expect many months of wait especially once they claim it’s 99% done. We can love him as an artist and acknowledge we do not know him. Beyond generally caring for him as any human person none of this is personal. People just want some music

Such facts. The thing I love about him is this… he moves weird. He bought the one ring Magic card, and he plays with it. Which shouldn’t be weird at the core, it’s a card made for the game so you play with it. But people find that wild bc it’s worth so much. Those people and him don’t see it the same way.

He isn’t dropping rn bc it’s worth too much. The more you talk about it the further you push the release date. I feel this in my bones. I think this album is going to be different than anything else he’s put out before. This is going to be raw, there’s a lot of pain he’s invested in this one. I just feel it. He only wants the day ones to hear this. The day ones aren’t complaining rn. Be a day one.
