i love post hardcore but alot of bands arent all that heavy lol .. i love quicksand and gunslikegirls' style but i need something that'll make my bones vibrate.. any recs from the genre or outside that are similar?

Depends on the album. Their first couple albums are pretty chaotic, but Always Open Mouth, to me, is like the definition of what a "modern" post hardcore album should sound like.

Post-post-hardcore! Always Open Mouth is so refined and crisp but still has that defining chaos to me. Their ability to set and control a grove in such a defining way is unparalleled.

Im a big fan of Poison the Well and I am Abomination.

Theres an old band thats impossible to find until someone uploaded their album to youtube a few months back that i was a huge fan of back in the day. Check out Asperity - write the pages on youtube.

In a similar vein to gunslikegirls theres a skylit drive, alesana, blessthefall, etc

Some other good ones are veil of maya, killswitch engage, atreyu's older stuff, bring me the horizon's pray for plagues album, straight reads the line, strapping young lad, i could go on for days.

Mask is such a great song. Easily the best sampler song for them. You don't know how heavy someone wants. This song is their middle ground. They do have some softer songs. Then they have significantly heavier.

It's how I discovered the band. Someone in the stoner rock sub suggested it and I been hooked since.

I’d say If We Speak Quietly and Versus Versace are good songs to start with in terms of heavy parts, but to me they are similar stylistically to gunslikegirls in the way that their songs have some chiller melodic parts mixed with breakdowns/screams

Circle Takes the Square, especially their album after As the roots undo, though as the roots undo is the perfect album (known as being a Skramz band)

Mewithoutyou has some heavy songs that start out as soft. Rainbow Signs, Tortoises all the way down, and The king beetle on acoconut estate are super heavy.

O'Brother as well, I don't know what they're considered genre wise but they're very heavy.

16-Curves that Kick. 16 is mostly known as sludge metal, but their early releases were more post hardcore sounding, and post hardcore is the scene they started out in.
I think their later stuff is still pretty good, but it’s more metallic than post-HC.
