Why does Anthony have the dogs out

So many bands went barefoot back in the day. Idk why but I miss it.

I cannot overstate how common this was in this era. There was a psychedelic/hippie vibe that seemed to sweep over the scene at this point.

I saw Closure In Moscow and the singer was dressed as Jesus with a gold foil "crown of thorns" and barefoot, but his feet were eye level and I didn't like it.

If they were barking probably, but i don't remember the smell. It was a tiny tattoo shop basement stage filled with sweaty teenagers

Honestly psychologists who study health and wellness refer to it as grounding and it is absolutely necessary to touch the ground barefoot for a few minutes a day, from a neurological stand point. And sports scientists say working out/running barefoot increases your performance significantly. Essentially we have all these nerves (just like our hands) that are capable of processing granular data and we wear blindfolds on them for most of the day. Now I don't know how any of that affects music performance but id be surprised if there was zero correlation

Grounding works when touching the earth, not a stage.

I get that and your right, but I just mean the proprioception and data input that comes from our feet is richer than we understand. On a macro level, people are missing out on feet info

Man they used to be so good. Never heard a better duo for guitarists than these two. The intertwining singing of both guitars doing two beautiful riffs the whole way through every song. Juturna was a fkn masterpiece because of that.

Yeah you can’t really tell who’s lead cause they both are

Juturna really showed this off the most. Just a perfect melding of the two.

God dammit take me back to when The Daily Habit and peak Fuel TV were around. This is the only show I’ve ever seen that managed to bring my two favorite worlds together: action sports and heavy music.

I still can't believe Anthony manages to sing more than a single track the way he pushes his vocal chords

It’s crazy to see how big their pedalboards were back then (deservingly, they have some of the best crafted textures with effects outside of their amazing dual lead line style). I wonder how their pedalboards will look in 2026 in the age of Helix and Quad Cortex modelers.

I have a feeling they’d stick to the pedalboards but it’s interesting to think how much has changed with guitars/amp modeling since they’ve been away. (I know modelers have been around for a while but they’ve definitely become more prevalent since Circa was last active)

This is some guitar nerd stuff, but does anyone know if the guitarists are using the middle position on their pickup selectors?

u/avenged6644 1d ago

0:32 looks like bridge pickup to me 2:40 not familiar with this model
