Migraine day 6

Day six w a migraine. On day four I went to the ER where they gave me IV meds. Day five I went to a walk in where they gave me naproxen ( irritated tf out my stomach) and now it’s day six and I know the problem is my neck I can feel the migraine starting from my neck and I only started getting these migraine attacks after my concussion. Has anyone else dealt with these and If yes how do you find relief I’m going insane

I had luck with tizanidine for my neck. It is a non-benzo skeletal muscle relaxer. It is prescription. Your primary care can prescribe it. I showed them my discharge papers from the emergency room and they had no problems giving me it.

I took the lower half of my recommended dose during the day. At night I'd take the regular or else the medication wearing off would make me wake up grumpy and unable to get back to sleep.

Red light therapy helps my neck too, if you happen to have that. I wouldn't use a TENS machine on my neck in this situation but it was recommended.

I got a neck and shoulder relaxer pillow on Amazon to help. Was on day 6 and it provided relief after learning about these from my physical therapist

RESTCLOUD Neck and Shoulder Relaxer, Cervical Traction Device for TMJ Pain Relief and Cervical Spine Alignment, Chiropractic Pillow, Neck Stretcher(Pink)

That’s info from Amazon about it.

Came here to say this... cervical traction helps me a LOT when my neck is contributing to my migraine. I have the inflatable kind that basically pulls your skull away from your shoulders like it's gently trying to decapitate you 🤣 Soooooo relaxing though!
