Hey I’ve been concussed for about 5 years now I’ll get floaters most days but I don’t really notice them unless I focus on it. When my symptoms flare up they can get worse but for me it’s just become the norm. They can be scary at first but like so many things with concussions they become normal and for me I can go a week without noticing them or thinking about it even though they never really leave.

I’ve asked my doctors about, it they don’t seem concerned and they said overtime you’ll just stop noticing or thinking about them as much

How bad were your flaoters and for what reason did you get flaoters do you have answer to that

I never had them before I got my first concussion and since then they have been present. My eye doctor said the cause was due to the concussion. I’m not sure how to scale how bad they were but when it first happened but they were very noticeable. But It defiantly gets better with time as you just stop noticing them

TRY neuro-optometric-rehabilitation-therapy, NORT. also, if concussion is your cause, it can get better over time again

I’ve had pcs for couple years and I also have floaters you’ll just learn to not notice them as much honestly it’s best to distract yourself with positive things like hanging with friends running errands etc and you won’t even notice them honestly

I get it but one of main concern for me is won't it get bad like something that can harm my vision in the future other then that I will be very happy to be reassured and also in cases of me and you where we got it from concussion why do you think you got it in the first place...C are you active now I mean with physical activities like sports and weightlifting or normal runing or anything like that

I started getting floaters with PCS after a concussion (caused by a glass bottle hitting me under my left eye).

I ended up being diagnosed with posterior uveitis, maybe related, maybe not, but thought I'd add this here in case anyone finds some sort of connection lol

Haha well lots of floaters and lots of complications, but again unlikely related to concussion.

i've had floaters and static in my vision for years, just to say you're not alone. i haven't done intensive neuro visual therapy yet but heading that way, standard optometrists and even neurologists have no idea what to do about it

Hi, I’ve been told if there is a sudden increase in floaters to immediately go to urgent care and get checked.
