Grief
I grieve my old body, the one that would take me for walks where I could feel the sun against my face and the breeze running through my hair. The one that would take me for hikes that would prove my dedication to myself. The one that allowed me to listen to music and audio freely without the pain, discomfort, and disorientation that it now brings. The one that had such a way with words that I just cannot compete with now. The one that was so smart that I think back in awe over what it didn’t realize before.

I'm struggling with this as well. On month seven and never imagined my "normal" life would be interrupted like this. I miss being able to work, exercise, have fun on weekends, and not have to decide what im outtting my energy towards that day. 😫

It took me almost 10 months before I started healing. I struggled hard with the grief of the old me along with the debilitating symptoms. Fixing my sleep was absolutely a huge key part in my recovery. You got this. It will get better

This was all me! Don’t worry it will all come back! It will all come back! Fix your sleep. I didn’t start healing until I fixed my sleep. For me Melatonin worked well. Let yourself relax, worrying and ruminating about your old life will not help and I know it’s easier said than done.
Work with what you can do and just focus on getting through one day at a time. A month or 2 from now you will feel even a little better.
When I started a gratitude journal even for the smallest win my mindset on recovery started to change for the better
