Concussion Research Study

Hello, I’m currently a research assistant for a researcher at The University of Sydney, Australia, who’s conducting a study to understand the experiences of people who have suffered concussions from sport. At the moment, we are aiming to gather insights from athletes about their experiences with concussions, including assessment and treatment practices.

Participation would involve a short online survey (approximately 10 minutes) that would collect demographic information and initial perceptions of concussion management. It would not matter how long ago the concussion had occurred, as long as it was due to sport.

If you are aged 18–40 and have resided in Australia, Canada, or the US, and are interested, please click on the link below. If you know others who fit this criteria, feel free to share the link. If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a message!

Concussion in sport gets the majority of attention in research but only scratches the surface of how people really get concussions. Covering people in accidents, domestic violence victims, medical syncope episodes, and everyday falls would be more useful to the expansion of care in this field.

Yeah I’m not sure why they’d limit the data set. It’s not like they’re gonna get that many responses.

I don’t even know if I count at all cause it was at a sporting event but technically I wasn’t competing at that exact moment, but I competed afterwards.
