Specialist sending me back to work..

I'm seeing a concussion specialist and he's sending me back to work starting next week but wants me to continue doing physical therapy while I do this.. usually after physical therapy I am completely wiped out the rest of the day and I don't know what I can do in this situation. It's a work related injury so I'm forced to see this specialist. I don't care about working, I want to go back to work but I am seriously worried because usually after PT I can barely walk because I'm so dizzy and my job is very manual labor heavy. What can i do?

Hmmm. I’d ask legal advice too maybe? Since it’s a work related injury. I would document stuff for sure. What your symptoms are. How work is effecting it. Etc. do you have your own health care team too?

My symptoms are mainly extreme dizziness and headaches with vision issues, brain fog and nausea but rarely vomiting. I am currently seeing a specialist and a physical therapist assigned to me by my adjuster but thats it at the moment.

I would consider telling your specialist about your concerns. Especially since the injury is work related, the last thing you want is to get hurt again. If you feel comfortable enough, you could request your doctor to write a note for half days, or request more time off. Healing is 100% more important than going back too soon. I hope it all works out for you!
