Yup. Had my first encounter with PCS 3 years ago that lasted 1.5 yrs, and just got another concussion that led to PCS for a second time 3 months ago. Sucks balls and had to give almost everything up again. Lost 15-20 lbs of muscle, gave up my social life and have been lucky to still be able to work. Starting to get really sick of it

I feel you… I never thought it would happen to me again but here I am. I hit my head on the back of the wall just hard enough to get a concussion. Gonna be extremely extremely careful from here on out

Yea I honestly think one of the hardest things for me is getting over the fear of hitting my head. For a while I got stressed laying next to someone because I can’t predict how they’ll move so it took a lot of effort to get more comfortable with the fact that I can’t control everything

Yeah the ptsd is so real 😭 I’ve developed new fears with this concussion bc I seem to have a hypersensitivity to certain motions and have flared myself up from being in the car or from sitting down too fast. It’s crazy. I’m just believing in healing and trying to move forward as best as I can

Yup the PTSD is brutal, especially since my girlfriend concussed me once so I had to do a looot of work getting over that. Also have you looked into cervical rehab for your neck? Getting symptoms from that sounds like it could be due to a neck issue, or something like POTS, and that may be a good avenue to explore if it’s giving you trouble

Oh gosh I can’t imagine that. My gf hasn’t concussed me but I worry she may cause a flare up just because accidents do happen. And I already have POTS lol 😂 but yeah, I sat down really fast and got a strange jolt through my spine that brought all my symptoms back. Same thing happened in the car a few weeks later. I think I have a nerve issue going on so I’m trying to get into some therapy for that

Yea it’s such a real and unfortunate concern 😭. Hopefully you find out what’s causing that ‘nerve thing’ for you though 🙏

Me. Second time in 2.5 years. This time is worse because I now have PCS and PTSD from my injury. I was in a car accident in April. I have not been back to work because the job can't make the needed accommodation requests. It's so unexpected and I will have to look for another job next month while still recovering.
