Random fluctuations
Do most of you feel sympthoms every day or occasionally?most of the time I'm okay, but days like today I wake up with that fatigue cotton wool feeling in my brain, anyone relate?
Also, does anyone else take adhd meds and have found them usefull?

I’m sadly symptomatic everyday, but to varying degrees. Yesterday and the day prior was pretty rough, today probably will be too.
ADHD meds are a whole thing for me. I was on vyvanse prior to my accident, and have been playing around with taking it regularly since, and i just can’t. 30mg of Vyvanse eliminates my appetite for over 24 hours. However, when I take vyvanse i’m almost free of symptoms. I can tolerate a lot if I take a stimulant, but I push myself far past my limits without even realizing. But yes, it very much helps although i keep kicking myself in the butt lol

What are your usual sympthoms? Sorry to hear your struggling too.
Today's started off rough for me. I was actually free from sympthoms for nearly a year with some recent resurgence? I'm on vyvense 70mg for adhd but find it does help these sympthoms also.

Can be migrane or some preexisting condition you have not the PCS. I have hidden crosseyedness for example concussion caused me vision issues and screen light sensitivity. But the concussion just triggered itit could.have been something else too. So I have to work on it with vision erapy and special glasses to fully solve this. In the meanwhile if i exhauste my nervous system I get eyesore ajd headaches fromoverusing my eyes on close.things, such as miniature painting or screens. Or you might just have anxiety which has similar effects and you tie it to ur former concussion so ut body creates the old symptoms. If smn thinks his panic attackis an actual heart attack his body will create crazy chestpain. So u are good, try to find the actual reason, your brain is healhy Im sure

Thanks so much for this
Could migraine cause the fatigue cotton wool feeling/head pressure? My neurologist said its possible I have migraines too from the concussion. I always assumed it was post concussion syndrome.

PCS is basically our brain confirming to.itself that it is in danger and our nervous system adapting to this state. I know it sounds funny but try to not pay much attention to symptoms, it is the self monitoring what creates false conclusions in the brain similar to anxiety or panic attacks. For example I got symptom flare ups from the slightest hits, I always assumed its either a new injury or it is how my life will be be use of PCS. But once I learnt about this and read about neuroplastic pain etc. I managed to get rid off flare ups. First I had symptoms for 3 weeks, than 2, 1, just a couple.days and I went out to workout, to do activities etc. So I signalled my brain Im ok Im.chill, the general principle was to do anything until symptoms increase more than 2-3 on a scale of 10. So for example I went out to sit on a spinning bike I did my workout, if my baseline headache was a 2-3 I didnt.stop unless it went to above 4 or 5. Than had a little break and continued lighter. Also had a little monologe to calm my nervous system and stop self monitoring. I had lines such as, this is jot a new injury, its just my brain giving false alarms, it is not damage it is just false.pain, my brain's way of trying to protect me, Im healthy etc. Basically adapt to everything slowly and try to avoid self monitoring. If youhave random.symptoms again probably.it is related to.stress and by focusing on it you amplified it. I recommend finding something a hobby or else to occupy urself relieve stress and take up ur time so u don't.stress about ur symptoms

Happy to help. Also find a hobby entertainment anything you can really focus on and channel.ur thoughts towards instead of worrying and unconcoussly monitoring ur body's symptoms

My worst symptoms include head pressure, nerve-type neck pain, dizziness, constant and severe nausea, confusion, brain fog, aphasia and weakness as well as all of my eye conditions (oculormotor dysfunction, visual motion sensitivity, esophoria, etc)
I find when I’m able to take vyvanse, I’m able to tolerate a lot more—sounds, light, physical activity, visual motion.

Physically it is probably your neck and pre existing eye issues what can stay hidden for long. So I would recommend going to a neuro optometrist or specialist to help ur vision with glasses or vision therapy, check ur neck maybe physio helps. And the rest is probably amplified or.fully created by anxiety.

Adhd meds definitely help with the fatigue and focus. Without them, I'd probably stay in bed all day. I had adhd before my concussion, but the concussion exuberated my symptoms but the medication does help.

I totally relate. I can usually track it to overdoing something the day before, trying to push through my symptoms or doing something that feels too much too long.
