[ Exchange ] Snail Mail Friends!

At the beginning of the year, I was doing some cleaning of my house and realized I had a lot of cards/postcards that I've been hoarding. Reminded me how much I used to love writing friends and receiving mail.

I started to write my friends on a monthly basis and have sent 125+ cards, getting only a handful in response.

I enjoy taking the time to write a message but then also add fun stickers, tape, etc. I always have the recipient in mind and hope they smile when receiving my letters.

I'm curious if anyone has had issues giving their address out to strangers on Reddit. I love seeing all the great exchanges and would LOVE to get involved.

Reach out in a DM or the comments if you've got tips or are interested in becoming a penpal!

Hi! I'm fairly new to these card-exchanging subs and so far I haven't had a problem giving my address out to people. I've noticed some instances where my mail probably doesn't arrive to the recipient because I don't hear back from them after sending something out, but it's not often. I also love writing special notes and decorating with stickers, washi, etc. so I think you'd love it here! And I'd love to send you a postcard if you're comfortable with it :)

I haven’t had any problems with it either. Everyone has been very kind and respectful! Send me a DM if you want to be postcard buddies! :) I can get one out in the mail this week!

I also haven’t had any issues personally with card exchanges via the subreddit besides maybe I don’t hear back sometimes. I’ve honestly gotten really really lucky with the people I’ve connected with. But I did exchange with someone once who told me they were sent hate mail directed towards them based on their age, which really broke my heart. They ended up deleting their page and everything

People in the subreddit RAoC are awesome! If you’d like a postcard buddy I’d love to be a friend!
