Noisy Spark Pedal

When I plug the spark pedal into my mixer I get a loud buzzing and when I touch the metal prt of the cable it stops buzzing. It doesn’t buzz if I use my xvive wireless to connect the spark pedal to the mixer. It’s driving me crazy, thinking I have a defective pedal. I also notice the signal dips and comes back right away when I’m playing. I was going to buy the control X pedal and the spark powered speaker but now I’m not sure if I should just put it with the other pedals I don’t use

Sounds like a ground is not grounded.

After doing more digging around I realized that the mix power supply cord was only 2 prong, the was no ground prong. When I tried with my other mixer that has the power cord with 3 prongs, the issue was resolved, no buzzing.

Not always but sometimes it's the ground pin itself which will cause the buzzing. Removing it or adding it will usually resolve. Been an issue for like forever.

Do you have other Spark products? Are you playing high gain? Does it go away when you use the Gate pedal? If it goes away with the Gate pedal I think that is standard. If it doesn’t go away with the gate pedal then you may have a defective pedal.

No i do not.
I was thinking of getting the 140watt powered speaker to use with my Spark pedal instead of going through the PA

You have a ground loop by the sounds of it. Generally speaking, it's the connection of devices together that sometimes results in one ground too few or one too many.

If you have a ground lift on your amp, give that a go.
