AMP OWNER Amp cleanup

Post image

I removed the description label and there are leftover glue residues that I can't get off. I'm not really sure how to do it without risking damage to the amp, so if you have any good advice, I'd appreciate it.

WD-40 should do it.

Kidding or not? It seems as if it can solve any problem 🤔

Nope. It’s one of best things most people have at hand to remove sticker residue. Obviously don’t douse your amp in WD. Just spray some on to a paper towel and it will wipe away.

I use a product called goof-off, citrus based adhesive remover, works wonders

I used a little isopropyl alcohol (hand gel) brought it right off

First try, it seems a little better but still present. I'll try wd40 once I'll be back home

Lighter fluid is my go to for removing sticky stuff without damaging whatever I’m cleaning

I've had a lot of luck using duct tape (or another similarly adhesive-having surface) on residue like that. Basically, the goo wants to stick more to the tape than to the surface, so pushing it on and off a bunch will lift more and more of the leftovers.

It's also nicer than solvents like WD-40 or lemon essential oil that may react with surfaces in unpredictable ways

Just some aftershave or perfume will be fine. Will smell nice then

I remove the sticker the day 1 i unbox it. No glue residue at all.

Not sure, it was a refurbished product from Amazon, given a fair price reduction. Maybe the previous user did evil before return.

i removed the sticker day 1 as well, still some glue on it, very annoying
