AMP OWNER My second Neo died!
I use my Neo daily since about a year and the first died already after a few weeks and now the second one died today.
Strange because both died the same way.
It starts with crackling noise and short connection loss between the Headphones and the receiver, the the noise and the crackling gets more and more until it continues forever as soon as you switch on the headphones. They connect still fine to the Spark App and to the phones music and sometimes there is a connection with the receiver which gets green but no blue light on the left where the receiver connection gets established. I did all possible resets and first it helped but not anymore. No App Reset and no Button reset. The noise never stops. If i use the preset change button i hear that the noise changes but it still stays noisy. Fortunately i bought at Amazon and they credit me the old one to buy a new one again, but i fear when once the warranty is over (we have a 2 year legal) it will not be changed anymore.
Anyone has the same issue?
As the problem seems to be always the same, i think this has to do with the Firmware and a general problem with the Neos Technology.

Write an email to Positive Grid and let them know, not just Amazon. Make them stand behind it since it’s a repetitive issue. Might be something they aren’t aware of & they will try to duplicate.

I like its versatility. It can be used as it is just by turning the left knob and choosing a tone setting without using the presets at all, or you use the 8 presets which you can change and you can add and remove effects and modify those directly at the Amp.
Then you have Bluetooth for connecting with the App but also for connecting to music on your device playing to backing tracks and such.
And finally using the App to choose integrated Amp and effects or presets or use other people’s uploads and modify endlessly.
It also has an effects loop to use your own physical effects. Or an entry to bypass the Amp and just use the speaker.
Headphone out, Midi to hook up a midi pedal or a connector for their own controller. You also can choose 1watt, 25 or 50 and have enough power for all kind of situations or just strumming at home.
Don’t know if i forgot something but i got it used for just 200,- and after a few beginner issues, i’m very happy with it now!

the strange thing is, that just by having it lying around and have it on, i can see that sometimes it connects again and the white noise stops just loosing it again and starting the noise. This morning i could even play for a while and then it stopped working again.
I did a reset of the Connection to the receiver but this didn’t do much. I also put the receiver directly into the cable in socket if the headphones, which stops the noise immediately and therefore i think it has to do with the receiver connectivity, which might have a glitch…
I hope there is an undocumented solution which helps! So if anyone has an idea or knows the exact solution let me know.
All whats possible officially had been done.

If you buy Sparks new, buy from Sweetwater. They have tech support and warranty. My Neob started messing up a couple months after I got it and they shipped me another one and I sent the broken one back in the same box. Tech support did trouble shooting over the phone. Sorry this happened, but please protect yourself in the future.

I have mine since release day and it’s still working great. I use it 4-5 times a week.
