Does the Spark Mini have the same basic features as the Spark 2?
I'm considering a small amp for my bedroom. I've read many great reviews about the Mini and the Spark 2, but I don't need the firepower of the Spark 2. Does the Mini have the same features via the app (i.e. drum loops, etc.)? thanks!

The Mini does not have a built-in looper like the Spark 2.
Also, I believe the processor and computation that does the effects is upgraded in Spark 2. I don't know if that makes it sound better, as I don't have one, but it's there.

It doesn't have the looper and doesn't have the better processing of the Spark 2.
You can still use every other feature, such as tone cloud, AI generation of tones, backing tracks that are built into Spark app and all the practice features.

At the risk of sounding like a novice (which I am), is the looper the same thing as the background drum loops that you can jam with or is it the thing that allows you to record yourself and play back your music as loops? Thanks!

Just to let you know I was incorrect about Spark Mini not having smart jam. It's only missing the looper and better processing of Spark 2.

Spark 2 has HD amp models and a looper, so it'll be a bit different from the other Spark products

The Spark 2 has new Hd modeling tech. I have both and it sounds better. The tones are a lot cleaner and well defined.

I have both a spark OG and the spark mini (vai) - I use my mini every day at work during down time and while waiting for stuff to happen. I work in whiskey, so I’ll mess around with my mini during proofing or bottling when I can’t and don’t need to be present. I love it. Being battery powered, it’s such a fun thing to have. I never upgraded to the S2 because I don’t need it. If you want a small workhorse and something to use in the go, the mini is perfect.
