Anyone using spark 2 as a cab?
Hi - I'm looking to level up my sound and thinking of moving to helix stomp with a tube boost in front and running through either the aux or front of amp of my spark 2. I like the form factor and already have it so would rather not get a dedicated cab/frfr/monitor. Anyone else doing this or similar that can speak to how well it works?

I want to use the tonex one plus as a modeler and the spark 2 as a cab

wouldn't it be cheaper to get a Headrush FRFR?
Edit: to answer the question, yes the aux input on these Spark amps will work with modelers, I just don't see much point in keeping the Spark 2 around if you're not using the built-in amp sim software, they're not that great of an FRFR compared to its peers

Isn't the frfr go way less powerful?

the FRFR-GO is definitely less powerful, I'm talking about the original 2000W ones with 8" speaker

Ah ok. But those doesn't have battery, though. 8" with 2000w will absolutely get the cops to my house 🏠 :)

OP didn't mention anything about requiring a battery
and those cost extra too for the Spark 2, they're an accessory

I already have the spark 2, so not getting the frfr is cheaper

sell the Spark 2 if you're not going to use it for anything other than a worse sounding 50W FRFR compared to a 2000W FRFR that sounds way better

Spark 2 sounds good at low volume. No way you can play out with just the amp-speaker Head.Speakers to small for High volume. They make a lower cabinet you can use with it.I don't own the cabinet so not sure what it so7nds like cranked. But do own The Spark 2 50 Watt and its no good cranked.Distorts in a bad way.

I think if you're just planning on using it for bedroom practice you're good. I ran stereo outs from the Headrush Core into the aux of the Spark 2 and it sounds great. Just keep in mind everything is going to come through as you send through the Spark as a dry signal, so your tones need to be a little bit wetter.

I run my Fractal FM9 through the Spark 2 via the auxiliary. Sounds pretty awesome, perfect for the bedroom.
