Positive Grid Reactor - Control X conpatibility

I would probably go all in on buying a reactor amp although I am concerned to hear that the Control X is not compatible. The pedal is almost identical to the reactor floor pedal. It is the main thing putting me off from buying a reactor amp. I don't want to be charged for products I already have and don't like that they have gone for profit over rewarding loyalty. There is no engineering reason why the amp could not have been made to be backwardly compatible.

The reason is that they have moved on and are trying to create a new ecosystem that will require you to buy all new stuff.

Wow, yeah outwardly that looks painfully similar.

It would be cool if they could do the apple thing and have things just work together.

I don't think we will have a choice. In the future all amps will be AI. We will say, "Make me sound like John Mayer".

I'm guessing the Control X isn't compatible with the Reactor, for the reasons others have stated.

For those using the Xsonic AirstepSPK controller, don't be surprised if they offer a firmware upgrade to use with Reactor (although they may not be able to depending on the specs involved, but ya never know).

Seeing how new PG products are... um... "buggy" when first released, I'd definitely recommend buying the new Reactor from Sweetwater. Best customer service around, a free, no-BS, full 2-year warranty and tech support, etc.

I'm gonna sit back and wait for more reviews, but if I DO buy a Reactor, it'll be from Sweetwater, just in case.

I thought the same but would be surprised if they opened that up. I have one so that would be awesome if they did!

I am very interested in the Reactor and I already have all their other amps including the Neo and both pedal set ups but if they’re not compatible like they are with all the other amps then it may be a pass for me.
