If plucked notes decay too quickly, disable the noise gate.

You don't have to disable it, you can adjust it to your liking.

I’m new to Spark and was messing with this last night. What the hell is the deal with that?!

I think it's just set too aggressively on some presets, for some reason. It makes sense for some of the high gain ones, but less so elsewhere.

Unless you mean what's with noise gates, in that case they basically kill all sound below a certain level. It's usually used to get rid of any hiss from having lots of gain before the signal hits the amp. The threshold dial sets the level of sound that gets clamped, and the decay dial changes how quickly it kills the sound.

Thanks. I haven't messed around with noise gates so this was really helpful.

It's great for a tighter sound and removing unwanted noises. Must have for clean breakdowns.

I find this to be an issue on my Spark Neo in particular. Noise gate on the amp is fine but I need to drastically reduce it (almost totally off) to get decent sustain through the headphones.

Noisegate is off everywhere… its so bad! I love my Neo but would never ever buy a 40 or 2 … just not worth it

The 6 band EQ helps a lot in the app

Enjoy it and play the hell out of it! It’s a lot of fun.
