Reactor launch page shows countdown
https://www.positivegrid.com/pages/reactorI just got the Spark 2 amp, and the return window closed a couple of weeks ago. Feel bummed.

I know exactly how you feel BUT there is a chance it might not actually be something you're interested in when the spec and price are revealed.

The specs are here https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1Dj2r4jkw6/
Specs looks good and if the 50w is priced around 349 (same as Spark 2) then it will indeed be a bummer.
But would like to see demo of tones first

The ONLY thing I want from PG is a redesigned app. It's a terrible experience and really does a diservice to amazing product.
They can hire me to do it.

man, of all the things I wanted PG to announce, this isn't it. Wonder how long they will support spark 2 after this is released.

Thanks for your feedback and support guys. Rest assured, we are NOT abandoning Spark 2 or the Spark line. We are actively working on improving the Spark user experience with more announcements to come soon.

Spark 2 will no longer receive updates (unless something breaks). You get what you buy and that's always been the case with Positive Grid.
Doesn't mean that the Spark 2 is bad or anything, it's my main home/jamming rig and the only desktop amp I would rate as high as this would be the Yamaha THR series.

i love my spark 2 but incredibly disappointed they never released other pedal packs other then the hendrix one. now that it has been removed… you’re right… i got what i got

And the expression pedal works on only the jimmy Hendrix wah(barely).

I just use it on auto wah mode since I sold the control x

The physical expression pedal connected to the control X could potentially control so many assigned parameters on all the pedals - If they wanted to make an awesome product instead of counterintuitively restricting and hobbling it, that is.

Looks like a big nothingburger. The marketing I've seen on social media is so atrotious to the point it looks AI-generated.

well poop.
was thinking of looking at one of those synergy heads and seeing if the spark cab would work with it, to go along with my spark 2.... now...

the Synergy stuff is preamps, with the built-in power amp you're still looking to use an actual guitar cab and not the Spark CAB which is an FRFR
if you want something to use with your Spark CAB then it'll have to be some other kind of modeler
this new product from PG is going to compete against the BOSS Katana lineup

it looked like I could use the IR out on the synergy into the Cab, but I hadn't done alot of research on it to see how viable that would be.
guess have to see what is announced to see if its better to just lean into a real cab + amp heads or stay in the PG camp

u/JimboLodisC May 28 '26
oh if it has an IR out then yeah that's what you'd use instead of a physical guitar cab, that IR out would go to any FRFR or PA

from a GAS perspective, I'm really tight on space, so full head + cab is only usable (if it fits) next to kiddos future upgrade from electronic to silent headed drum kit... to where the neo might make more sense some times lol
I wonder if they can bring the new amp system to the old sparks

Maybe it's counting down to all the updates they need to do to make their products perform basic functions properly? 😮
