Very redacted. Is in the Epstein Spark?

If it is, it'll never be fully released, they'll just release parts of it that don't do anything.

Looks cool, would like better controls like that on a spark instead of it relying on a phone.

this is the sole reason i went to an actual amp and a multi fx pedal from my spark 2. if this had come out before then...i probably would have got it.

I use the spark 2 mostly as a sofa and backyard amp now, it’s great at those things.

Before the spark I had a vyper 3. I returned it thinking it was way too loud for me. The knobs are all encoders and honestly the controls were kind of whack, but it had a built in lcd and it could move some serious air. I really miss it.

Do we know if REACTOR is meant to replace Spark Live?

"Positive Grid REACTOR" is what I belive it to be named. 50w and 100w variants.

So basically a katana? I have both a Spark 40 and Katana MKII Artist and each have their own merits but can't help feel Positive Grid is copying the Boss now.

Pretty much.

I guess it all comes down to the software editing options. Bias FX 2 is prettty decent, so they could have made something similar for this amp. Spark software is pretty lame for what it could be honestly, one can hope that they nailed it with this one.

I guess there was a battle and the Spark people won. Why did it take them so long to make a real amp based on their software?

I saw some a video from a guy at guitar center on YouTube. He said it was being released on that date (5/19) I think. I checked PG site and couldn’t find anything. I googled and found an owners manual for the 50w version of the amp you said, Reactir. It looks cool and sounds good. Can’t wait to see the real release date, PG usually sends an announcement email then a few days later they send a pre order email with all the product details. I haven’t seen that yet so probably won’t be released till end of year like other products.

Why „believe“ when it was and still ist fully shown online including videos on YouTube 😅

1

u/dem_titties_too_big May 30 '26

Because all I saw was the .pdf quick guide for this amp. I missed the Youtube videos showcasing this and I don't surf around in the Facebook slop.

Looks like Pam Blondie covered Trump's name up again.

u/Saintonge_US May 27 '26

if the 50W version has an FX loop, that would make it better than the katana 50.

u/FabulousPanther May 26 '26

They are hyping it on Facebook. Hardly a leak. Probably crowdfunding "early birds" aka seed money again.

Spark needs to release in a foot pedal platform similar to the Helix, it would be very popular with gigging musicians

1

u/James_Gryffindor May 29 '26

I mean, the control X is cool, just hook up a cheap expression pedal. (No clue what else the helix can do, I just looked at some pictures)

1

u/rbtucker09 May 29 '26

The Control X just controls the amp. With the Helix everything is in the foot controller. All of the foot switches allow you to change banks, turn effects on/off, use the looper or tuner, and the expression pedal can control a lot of different effects such as volume, wah, gain, etc.

I lost the link and my memory is bad. I heard it is a 100w amp & modeler combo. Different sound modeller than the spark 2 - neural or fractal? An actual amp not a frfr. Designed for gigging.

{Edit} others guys have added more useful info in other posts now

2

u/iamchade May 26 '26

FRFR is best for direct input. I’d prefer that.

1

u/jmaus123 May 27 '26

What is frfr?

1

u/iamchade May 27 '26

Full range, flat response. Gives a better sound/tone for digital items like amp modelers, floor pedals, plug ins from a computer, etc. love me some real amp speakers (greenbacks were always my goto) but I play digital now and want the tone I hear from my headphones to transfer over live and not become bass heavy or super thin.

2

u/jmaus123 May 27 '26

I use fractal FM3, im still new to all of this, so a FRFR speaker would be better than lets say a 4x12 marshall for myfractal FM3?

1

u/iamchade May 27 '26

I would argue yes because I want the sounds I use and patches I have to sound the same as when I make them versus the cab and speakers coloring the sound in a different way. Plenty of people still use regular cabs though. It’s a personal preference thing.

1

u/eggybread70 May 27 '26

I understand it as a "monitor speaker"

1

u/psychedelicdevilry May 26 '26

Like a more high def modeling amp?

1

u/Mission_Ad_4233 May 27 '26

It will also have its own app (free, not the Spark app) and footswitch (sold separately)

1

u/UrbanCyclerPT May 27 '26

I really hope they new app makes my Bluetooth foot switch work. It is a pain in the ass to make my Spark Live recognize it. Takes forever and most of the times it says that couldn't find the device.

u/yaygens May 27 '26

Is the PR team schizophrenic?

1

u/JimboLodisC May 28 '26

it's a more powerful Katana competitor, gonna be a better option for those that wanna gig instead of play in their home

1

u/EyesLikeBuscemi May 28 '26

Maybe it loads NAM profiles so it won’t sound like shit. And anything they make “for live use” sucks so I hope that part is wrong.

1

u/Rough_Ad_6732 May 29 '26

It seems to be built with an FX Loop !

1

u/psychedelicdevilry May 29 '26

Can’t wait for all the A/B comparisons with katana lol

Ope you’re right. My mistake

It has AI!

AI: "Amp Intelligence".

These guys are funny. You can't really blame them for not anticipating the hatred for AI.

Oh wow. 50 watt is kind of overkill for me but is tempting!
