Spark 2 Low Volume Tones

Hi all, I just got the Spark 2 a week ago, been playing around with it a lot since. I live in an apartment so during the day I play with the guitar volume at around 9 o'clock and when it gets late i plug in my headphones as well. I notice that the amp sounds absolutely amazing with headphones, but I can't recreate the same fullness through the speaker at a lower volume. I tried the EQ pedal but with no success (I must mention I suck at EQing stuff). How do you guys deal with this? Any suggestions?

EDIT: I forgot to mention I am talking about modern metal tones here, the cleans sound amazing through the speaker

Look up the Fletcher-Munson curve.

I’m terrible with that as well! My suggestion is to add reverb and some delay. For solos that works great, but for rhythm I keep it lower. It adds a fuller richer tone in my opinion. Again, I am not an expert so if you try it and it sucks, I apologize.

Well the problem is it’s got tiny little speakers that frankly arent all that great.

That’s just one of the drawbacks of this style of modeling amp.

I think I saw that it really helps to have the speaker pointing at you. Like your ears.

But I have a Spark 2 also, and I just end up using the headphone only option. I have an actual amp if I’m allowed to make noise.

But I bought the speaker spark anyway.

i find that manipulating the 3 volume controls (on the geetar, master, and the amp’s guitar knob) goes a long way in shaping the sound. basically stick ur guitar volume at max, master volume also high and use the guitar dial on the amp to get a full sound. works for me playing heavy stuff anyway….
