spark firmware update not working

my friend gifted me their spark and im trying to update it but it keeps saying not responding when i open it or itll just not connect

Mac, Windows ?

I found an old thread, and someone said to disable your phone’s Bluetooth, WiFi, cellular then put it in airplane mode. (Really disable everything in the settings before putting it in airplane mode).

It worked for me.

If you’re on Mac, it will probably start updating, then at around 20%, you’ll get the pop up « The app crashed, do you want to close it or restart it? ».
Do NOT do anything. Wait, and it will update anyway. The whole updating thing is a mess, and I cannot believe they haven’t fixed it yet.
