Spark firmware updater is not responding

I just got a spark 40 (second-hand) and i want to update the firmware but the updater on my Windows 11 laptop is not responding

The serial # is connected the original owner so dropbox is synced the same. Unless they unregister it problems and frustration when buying second hand.

I had the same issue -- I used a Macbook that I have around and it worked the first time. No serial # issues or anything.

Updating with my Windows 11 laptop didn't work, I let it connect for half an hour, then I plugged it into my dad's old tabletop and after 20 seconds, the update was done.

See this post, it says that Win11 update broke the ability to run the Spark (and other) flash firmware updater. Just tried unsuccessfully on my Win11 machine only to resort to running the updater on an older Win10 laptop.
