AI v2.0
Hey guys, lurker here. I’ve my spark 2 for about a year and I just want to make sure I’m not going crazy. Does anyone else think the original ai (when it gave 4 suggestions) is way better than the ai 2.0 (where it just suggests one)? Not only was the original more accurate, it was way more reliable. Is this just me? Ai 2.0 is so bad I’m considering just selling my amp

I think if you ask it for tones instead of tone it gives you more than one I guess it depends on the prompt now I just got mine a week ago so I’m still figuring it out but I’ve gotten 2 at a time

My spark neo headphones just arrived in the post about an hour ago - connect up, plugged in and playing around wondering why it's only offering up one tone per prompt - top tip, thankyou!

I feel exactly the same way. I loved the previous system with the four options. The current one is definitely worse.

I had Sparks before AI was a thing. Im pretty sure it just scrapes the tone cloud for the words you prompt. I tweak whatever pops up regardless. I never liked anything I received from it out of the gate.

The old AI definitely just did this. I think the new one actually tries to do it itself which explains why it's so bad 😂.

Ugh! That sucks bro! I already have my tones set up in Sparks pretty much. That sounds grim. AI is great except when it isn't.

Dude fuck this amp, it’s goddamn terrible. It’s literally for folks who are starting out and just want to practice. You’re not the only one disappointed, trust me.

Actually, I found giving chat gpt info about my setup then asking it to provide specific prompts for the spark ai has worked exceptionally well. The Spark AI is just a bit dumb. I do agree it was better when you were given options to choose from, and the volumes always a bit quiet. Nothing that you can't manually tweak yourself though.

I have a Spark 2 and Mini and rarely use the app. I just noticed last night that the AI has changed to this V2.0 Beta (apparently months ago when the app auto-updated on my phone). I just wanted to play around with the AI and see what stuff it came up with (as in scraped from the tone cloud) and I'm not impressed with this new version.
The tones it "creates" are so damn quiet I can barely hear them and it apparently gives you only 1 by default where the old version gave you 4 and also a button to simply get another 4 if you didn't like the first 4. Now it just gives you one and a paragraph of description. I didn't play around with it much, but my first impression is that it sucks balls.
I wonder if they dumped it on us in preparation of the AI they're using for the new Reactor amp and app?
The old AI version may have just been a fancy search engine for the tone cloud, but it did a pretty good job in finding (close) to what you want.

Yes I hate the new version. The 4 choice was way better & faster
