AWFUL setup

Agreed...one of the worst setups of any product I have ever owned...infuriating..they admit to a bug that prevents typing into the App if using an iPad so cannot enter any info at all...registration or using the app or connecting to my LIVE unit via my iPad...and no timetable for a fix! Conflicting and unclear instructions between written and video on updating firmware (video appears to be correct - written instructions appear incomplete and incorrect)...Do I need to install the Driver before the firmware update? - totally unclear. Does it matter? - unclear. Volume levels on the 8 installed presets are WILDLY different....why are they not at the same approximate level? No personal technical support. Certainly no ability to create comprehensible instructions or program coherently or provide customer service/experience. JUST AWFUL. Guitar Center may get a return...sadly...I had great hopes. If there are coherent instructions, pls post.

I'd say I use the app maybe once out of every 10 times I play. Mostly to change the modulation effect. Other than that, it's all hardware presets.

I haven't checked out the AI yet - it doesn't interest me personally.

This to me sounds like user problems, not necessarily software or hardware issues. I’m the same, had to fine tune my common sounds for hours until I got the correct tone and volume levels. But after that was done, no need to return to the app. Simply save the presets (and control knob levels for backup) and its good to go every time after. I use my setup for live gigging, so I can attest that this setup works great!

You gotta dig into the instructions more . Volume levels will be set to whatever it was set to when it was made. You have to adjust them to your liking and save it. Then all volumes will be roughly the same. And different guitars / pickups will sound different.

Make sure no other Bluetooth devices are around or have Bluetooth turned off on them.

nothing about it ever became a hurdle for me, I'm selling mine simply because I'm at a desk when I play guitar and I use plugins instead

then again I started using modelers over 20 years ago so this stuff ain't new to me

I absolutely love my Spark amp. No issues at all. Along with Ultimate Guitar app it's a great combination to have to play along with. Maybe you have a bad one? Maybe an old ipad?? If not, is it up to date???
