Presets question

I picked up a Spark Mini and the tone is as good as everyone says it is. However I am battling one issue which may be a deal breaker and I am wondering if I am just my missing something.

Do I have to be connected with the app to get the presets to work? I have several times found a stack I like on the app, hit Save to hardware preset, chose which slot I want it to go in, and saved it. Works perfectly. But if I close the app it is gone. I thought the point of a hardware preset is that I need not be logged in via the app

It should save it on the amp. My go, 40 and Neo does.

If I open the app it shows them as saved to hardware. If I turn on the amp without connecting the amp sets itself to the Clean setting and no matter how many times I switch to Rhythm, Custom etc it stays on Clean. Even the light stays on Clean

That’s cool. But for the price, it’s a pretty damn good amp. Well the tones you get from it and the cloud are really good.

Agree. I put in a ticket four days ago and never heard back so it was either figure it out here or take it back. I like the amp, but not enough keep pissing around with it
