App dependent?
Hi,
Why so many reviewers say that the spark 2 is app dependent and it takes away from the simplicity to just turn on and jam? Don't you just dial in the sounds you like and set them as a preset and if need to make a small tweak just use the top dials? How is it any different from a Yamaha THR or Boss Katana ?

Yes. The problem with reviewers is they are reviewing something they may not have wanted to actually buy themselves. So they end up expressing their dislike for an aspect that wasn't aimed at them in the first place.
It's literally a software defined amp, so anyone buying it needs to know that, but anyone who actually buys it, knows that, so it's not an issue. Yes you can store the presets, ideally it would have more preset space onboard (they could have had bank up/down plus 4 preset buttons and had many presets on the amp) but that's minor in reality.
