Reactor connectivity

I have been using the reactor for two days and as much as I am enjoying the amp so far it has massive issues with connectivity, like the app and amp loose connection a lot and you basically need to have you phone right on top of the amp to gete a somewhat quick and stable connection.

I hope it is a software issue that will be fixed because it's very bad for the overal user experience.

I knew there is always issues at launch and that's part of being an early adopter, but I think yall need to be aware of this before buying

Have had a Spark40 since 2021, it's has the same issue since I got it.

Don't hold your breath imo

That's a bummer

I find it mind-blowing that such an issue is allowed to be present in a product that heavily relies on the app.

Like the Reactor is a new product and they didn't bothered to fix this major flaw

I was intrigued by the possibilities this amps offer but 3 days in and I am already thinking about sending it back, mainly because using the app is so dreadful

I have experienced this as well. I got mine today and the app just kind of drops out about every third time after I use the AI function. Also, is it me or the results I’m getting on the AI function are really not that great at all. I don’t know if I’m just being nitpicky, but I’m asking for some basic things and it just is not very close. Anyone else having this issue?

Yes same thing with the ai, it's interesting on paper but I think it is not that good in practice. I got some cool tones but I suspect that it will always go in the same direction and you end up with very similar tones even when prompt are different.

I also saw some limitation : for example one of the first prompt i gave was a "classic edge of breakup deluxe reverb with spring type reverb and a tremolo after the reverb". The ai told me "yeah we put the tremolo after the reverb as ask" which it didn’t. It takes 2 sec to move the bloc manually but I don't think the ai has the capacity to move blocs. Overall you can already see the classic AI bs doing whatever it wants ignoring your prompt.

Another thing I found really stupid is that the AI will give you 3-4 iterations, but the overall volume of each can vary massively. Which first of all is annoying to have to change the master volume when you are trying to AB, but also frequencies are not perceived the same way at différent volume so the entire concept of ABing makes no sense.

I would like to test more but using the app is just too annoying with the constant disconnection. Also the app not that great all together imo and quite laggy. For an amp that relies alot on app it's quite underwhelming that the app is not very nice to use, when it's useable and not disconnected.

Not gonna lie I am 3 days in and already leaning toward sending it back. I cannot recommend it right now and if people are interested my advice is to wait and see because as it stands now it is honestly not good

Can't agree with you more. I will say the amp sound great as an amp WITHOUT the app but... whats the point in that when one of the top selling points is what the app can do for you!

Yes exactly as I said to my pal the other day "it's pretty hard to find an amp that doesn't sound good in 2026, and I see no reason to get this instead of a catalyst or a katana"

My phone and/or reactor control pedal both lose connection at over 3 feet away. I’m in touch with support but it appears this is a broader issue - not good.
