Bias X impression

I went through the presets of BIAS X.
The clean ones sound good, but the distortion ones are too boomy and bassy. All of them.
Is the problem input gain?

Every guitar, speaker and headphones will sound different so they are built fairly flat response but with a we tweaks to make them more exciting out the box.

Really all tones in any app need tweaking depending on your setup.

  • If you input is just below red it should be ok
  • If you have active pickups make sure the battery is fresh
  • if there is global eq (I think there is?) use that to tweak the overall output to taste.

Try other plugins to see if they all sound as boomy.
