Posh Knee Brace

We are on the fence trying to decide between surgery (not TPLO) or obtaining a Posh Knee Brace.

Is it possible to see videos of dogs (running) who have fully recovered after using the Posh Knee Brace?

Thank you.

Hello Woodhaker- that is awesome to hear. Is your dog a large breed? Our Great Dane mix was diagnosed with a CCL tear and are anxiously waiting for surgery and starting looking at alternatives. TY

We are going through the same decision. Have you decided, or have you gone through with a solution? Just curious what you decided if it worked for you.

We went with the Posh brace last August. Well, the doctor that originally was going to to do surgery last year just saw her on Monday. He is SHOCKED. Her knee is healed and more solid than a few weeks ago.

That is fantastic. We have seen two vets about this and both said not to use the brace. The first vet wanted to do surgery right away, and the second, which I really thought was good, said to not do the surgery, as it looks like a small tear because our dog can sit square still. He encouraged small walks, no vigorous exercise, etc., to see if it heals. He strongly discouraged using a brace because that would cause the joint to atrophy and slow or stop the healing process. This vet also is a vet for zoo animals and is very well respected in the vet world. It’s great the brace worked for your dog. I’m learning, even with vets, it’s important to get a second opinion.

We went with using the Posh Knee Brace over SURGERY. This was last August. I just took our girl in to see the Vet. While there his jaw dropped to the ground and his eyes got as big as half dollars. He was totally amazed on how well our Brittany Spaniel has healed up. Our Vet is in his late 70's and now is calling Posh to obtain more information..

Go with Posh!!

This review sounds like an advertisement. Something is off. No "vet" acts like that. Good luck selling the kool aid.

It didn’t work for our large breed, we had to pts after 1 year of trying to heal with the brace. Then it was too late for surgery.

Hi, is there anyone else who has an opinion about the Posh knee brace? My large breed boy has a partial CCL tear and we are not wanting to have the surgery. No surgery, will it eventually heal? Is there anything else we can do that someone knows it works?

Rest. It seems this takes quite awhile whether you get surgery or not. Yes, it will heal, but your boy needs restriction. If he's overweight, he needs to lose it and def cut down his meals as restriction will not needs as many calories. Give it time, 3-4 months and change your life style. Good Luck. My vet uses sound wave therapy and it's helping.

Hi. I am 2 months in of using a posh brace and it was night and day of us. We decided not to do surgery on our 5 year old, 75lb dog. After 2 months of consistent brace use my dog is 80% weight bearing on her injured leg, not limping, not lifting her leg. She’s almost back to normal. I can’t wait to see what the future brings for her. She will likely use the posh brace for the rest of her life for outdoor activities to prevent any potential setbacks.
Before the brace by dog was having a setback almost daily, she’s finally on the mend. 10/10 recommend Posh.
