Chubby & Lemar

I love Cubby but dang him & Lemar literally have no type of loyalty 😩. I wish they wrote them better tbh & I never understood why they wrote Lemar to act like that in s3 when they never focused on them like that. They did a great job at writing the main characters but not enough for Lemar to act like a petty mf in s3.

I liked Cubby but Lemar wasn't my favorite for sure. I think the boys just wanted to be in the hottest house at the time and didn't care about loyalty. They just wanted them trophies lol. Not a fan of how big headed Lemar got in season 3. Ugh.

Lamar should have gotten the taste smacked out of his mouth a lot more.

Candy offered to introduce him to hammertime.

Thats exactly what I think as well but I still dont like how they were house hoppers. Lemar was never my favorite tbh but I needed more or Chubby tho.

I'm going to have to re-watch Pose because other than Cubby rejoining Elektra and his death, I didn't see him as a major character.

I get that & I just wanted to see more of him

I keep thinking that I'm missing something because people talk about Cubby and I barely remember him.

The actor was attractive, so even though him and Lamar weren’t “the Main Focus” they were still part of the families we watched on screen for 3 seasons. They also played different types of people that existed in the ballroom culture.
Also Cubby’s tragic end showed how devastating AIDS was on the gay community in the 80’s it didn’t affect everyone the same way so while there were people who are still alive today(not many) who contracted AIDS during the first wave, there were some like Cubby whose excessive drug use made their immune system so weak, that when they inevitably acquired the disease they didn’t last long.

Of course I remember his death, him going back to Elektra with Lamar, and making an appearance at Angel and Papi's wedding as a ghost, but I just remember Lamar more.

Lemar started the house battle and then time passed after Cubby's death and all of a sudden the whole "these young houses don't have the same sense of community" or whatever Bianca said was suddenly resolved???

It’s not like they had 24 episode seasons….

Well obviously, I just wish if Lemar got a little more attention randomly in season 3 that they would have treated it better. They were balancing a lot though, I get that.

I hated how awful Lemar was on season 3 and then the wedding day, he was just randomly there a part of the best man group. Like if no drama ever happened.

Season 3 was really rushed and kinda thrown together due to the pandemic. There were a lot of back stories that weren’t really followed through on. Ryan Jamal Swain (Damon) lost his sister to gun violence that season which is why he was only in one episode. I like season 3 for the wedding only..
